Hyundai Motor Company has officially unveiled the STARIA Electric at the Brussels Motor Show, marking the debut of the first fully electric version of its flagship MPV.

The model combines zero-emissions mobility, people-centric design, and practical solutions for different lifestyles, setting a new benchmark in the segment.
As the brand’s flagship MPV, the STARIA Electric reinforces Hyundai’s commitment to electrification, now applied to a vehicle known for its generous interior space and versatility.

The powertrain features an 84 kWh battery paired with a 160 kW (218 hp) front-wheel-drive electric motor. The 800-volt electrical architecture enables repeated fast charging with reduced heat generation, allowing DC charging from 10% to 80% in around 20 minutes. Estimated WLTP range reaches up to 400 km.
According to Xavier Martinet, President and CEO of Hyundai Motor Europe, the goal is to make electric driving “practical and efficient for real-world use,” combining the STARIA’s well-known space and flexibility with a high-voltage system and an updated interior tailored for the European market.

“Inside Out” concept and adaptable cabin

The STARIA Electric retains the principles that define the STARIA family: a people-centric approach, high comfort, and intuitive functionality. The “Inside Out” design theme prioritizes the cabin and shapes the exterior around it, with a long body, low beltline, and large glass areas. The result is excellent visibility and a strong sense of openness, with abundant natural light and a clean, uncluttered layout.
Inside, the flat floor and generous dimensions create a lounge-like atmosphere. Seating configurations are designed to adapt to a wide range of uses—from daily commuting and family trips to professional passenger transport and leisure activities. The quiet powertrain enhances comfort on both urban and highway journeys.

In terms of safety, the STARIA Electric comes equipped with a comprehensive Hyundai SmartSense ADAS package, delivering assistance and confidence in urban environments, on highways, and during parking maneuvers. Towing capacity reaches up to 2,000 kg, expanding usability for both commercial and leisure applications.
